What is Transformational Breath ?
Transformational Breath ® is a type of breathwork that uses diaphragmatic breathing combined with other modalities such as acupressure, movement, meditational, emotional release, and body awareness techniques. This work allows us to access subconscious thoughts, feelings, emotions, and memories. Through this, visuals or sensations can be explored and released.
Transformational Breath ® in particular teaches us to use our whole respiratory system, which results in increased oxygenation, circulation, and energy levels. It can help relieve anxiety and stress, remove energy blockages, and increase self esteem. Perhaps most importantly, transformational breathwork can expand our awareness, helping us to dig into our spirituality and find a deeper connection.

How does the Transformational Breathwork work?
Transformational breath works by activating your subconscious mind and shining a new light onto insights and information that isn’t easily accessed. Breath opens up the energy channels in your body and allows the things we’ve been holding on to be released.

Transformational breathing session focuses on mind, body and spirit.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, where the focus lies solely on life history, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, transformational breathwork also considers the body because we store many of our memories, stress, and emotions. A few biologically based practices can include:
- Mindful movement
- Sounds
- Acupressure
- Diaphragmatic breathing

- Body scans
Sessions can help you to re-charge the body while activating specific belts of muscular tension and emotional patterns. By doing so, you open up your breathing and release stuck and suppressed emotions.

Transformational Breath session online or in person
Transformational Breathwork Session includes:
Initial coaching to identify any issues you might be facing and to help you set a goal for your breathing session. During the first meeting coaching part will be followed by the breath analysis to determine your basic breathing pattern, after which we go into an active breath session, using the Transformational Breath ® technique which includes:
- Body positioning to help free up trapped energy and encourage a more full and relaxed breath
- Connected breathing to activate the various tissues and organs surrounding the diaphragm. Once the breath is moving in the abdomen, the upper lungs can be activated so eventually the breath is full, connected and active.
- Body mapping to identify areas that are emotionally blocked
This is followed by a relaxation and integration phase as well as time to reflect and process what went on throughout your session.
